Fishingboy

This is a sliding pop-up card, featured by Splitcoast Stampers this week(here is the tutorial). I made this version for a gentleman friend for his 92 birthday(to-morrow). It is made with a digi stamp from Digital Two Tuesdays. The background is distressed to bring out the stars. The "pull" and the birthday stamp are embossed. Everything else is from my stash.
It fits the following challenges.
Allsorts Challenge #87 - Make a project for someone of the male of the species.
Crafts and me - Monochrome - Blue
Crafty Ann's Challenge - A mix of old and new - The technique is new to me and make from old stash materials.
Delightful Sketches - Birthday Celebration
Paper Sundaes - Distressing
Penny's Challenges - Anything goes.

  3. Great textures and what a fun image!

At 92 years old I bet your friend has at least a single "the big one that got away" story!
